At Riverton Childcare, our curriculum is guided by Te Whāriki, the Early Childhood Curriculum. We support tamariki to grow as confident, capable learners through meaningful relationships, responsive teaching, and rich learning experiences.
Our kaiako use ongoing observation, assessment, planning, and evaluation to intentionally support each tamaiti learning and development. Learning priorities are developed in partnership with whānau and are visible within the environment through individual “Where to Next” learning goals.
Learning stories and assessment documentation show the progression of tamariki learning over time and help strengthen the connection between whānau aspirations, teaching practice, and learning outcomes.
We value both planned and spontaneous learning opportunities and recognise play as an essential part of learning. Our curriculum is inclusive, responsive, and designed to support the diverse strengths, interests, cultures, and needs of all tamariki.
Quality early childhood education contributes to the growth of a secure, confident child who can communicate, learn and work with others.
