Riverton Childcare has a well-resourced physical environment that is safe, while offering challenges and interest that invite tamariki to explore and become fully involved in a wide variety of activities.
It encourages critical thought, wondering and creativity. Kaiako provide resources and environments that encourage exploration that is meaningful and enjoyable for tamariki, encouraging them to choose, experience challenges and revisit prior learning. Kaiako use natural resources to contribute to the richness of a vibrant learning environment.
Tamariki are involved in making decisions about the resources and space in the learning environment, and kaiako organise and manage the learning environment to ensure it is inclusive and will enable all children to be the best they can be.
